Wife of Sami Al-Hussayen Agrees to Leave United States

BOISE -

The wife of a University of Idaho student linked to terrorism says she'll voluntarily leave the United States within 120 days.

The decision by Maha Al-Hussayen put an end to the government's attempts to deport her and her children.

Al-Hussayen's attorney says she made the decision after she was threatened with jail and several character witnesses became too intimidated to testify on her behalf. She must leave by March Sixth.

Her husband is Sami Omar Al-Hussayen. He's scheduled to go to trial on January 13th on alleged visa fraud. Authorities also believe he helped funnel money to an Islamic terrorist organization.

If the positions were reversed, our enemies would throw her and the children in jail as hostages.

I'm not advocating that. I'm just saying that we aren't exactly playing hardball here.
